Here we are at the start of what is a very special new year for the Tawe Guild, the 30th since its formation in 1981, and we are going to celebrate!! We've already had our A.G.M., and it's my pleasure, (and responsibility) to accept your kind nomination and election as Chairperson. Fortunately for you, we have a great team to keep me in order, Gill is Vice Chair, Ann is Secretary and Isabel Treasurer, other committee members are listed on the back of the membership card - on sale now at the remarkably low price of £20 (+£40 studio fees for those of us who use it).

A big thank you on behalf of all Guild members to Debbs, Nell and Michelle, who have done so much of the Guild during their office, they have brought us into the 21st Century with a vengeance, enthused us with their innovative ideas and really worked hard - they're going to be a hard act to follow.

We have just been awarded some Lottery funding in order to do outreach work in the community, more about that later when we have sorted ourselves out, but we will be looking for people to come to demonstrate at venues, and promote the Guild and its various aims.

We have several events already arranged - see What's On.

That's enough to be getting on with. If you have not yet paid your membership fee, Isabel is ready and willing with the receipt book, please see her as soon as possible. We have a wonderful year ahead, hopefully we'll attract many new members as well
